CONTENT

In collaboration with Photometria International Photography Festival, Asfa Photo Courses makes its home for a week at the ASFA artistic station of Tspelovo in the Zagori region of Ioannina for the summer workshop “Postcards from home”.

Participants of “Postcards from home” will explore the concept of home from their own perspective, selecting from a number of options: return to the family home or the country, immigration, familiar homes and uncanny, nature as a home, etc.

The concept of home lends itself to a wide range of photographic approaches.

“Postcards from home” is an attempt to generate an artistic community that will use the concept of home as a stimulus for reflection and creation.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

The workshop is addressed to photographers in Greece or abroad, who want to bring into the creative process new experiences from their stay at Tsepelovo: anything from nature walks, getting acquainted with the place and its inhabitants, visits to the local photographic archive and to old manor houses, participation at the three-day traditional local fair (“pangegyri”)
